COLCA's After School Clubs are a great way to create more social interaction and connection with peers that have similar interests in a safe and constructive environment. See the current listing of clubs below.

Things you need to know:

  • Clubs will run for 8 weeks, October 16 - December 15.

  • Time:  3:30-4:30 pm Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri.; 2:30-3:30 on Wed.

  • Clubs are $150 for all 8 weeks ($50 due at registration, $50 billed in FACTS on November 6, and $50 on November 27. Fees are non-refundable once clubs begin. 

  • You may register up to 3 students on one application.

SOFTBALL CLUB

4th - 8th

Ms. Martinez

The softball club is for motivated Colca students in grades 4 through 8. Coach Martinez will be training the students in the basic fundamentals of the game of softball. These fundamentals include but are not limited to throwing, fielding, and batting techniques. We will also be focusing on character and team building, as well as instilling a safe and friendly Christ-centered environment. 

BAKING & GRILLING CLUB

6th - 12th

Mrs. Ortiz & Mrs. Hernandez

Do you love to eat? Bake? Grill? Look no further! We offer just that! You will learn to measure, season, garnish and taste. This club will help you become culinary adventurers, discover your natural talents and become intuitive cooks.  Get your baking -and- grilling on!

JR. DANCE CLUB

Pre-K - 5th

Ms. Smith

Elementary students will have an opportunity to work with this award-winning instructor to learn various dance genres, including hiphop, jazz, contemporary, and lyrical dance. Students will develop a joy for dance, fitness and learning new skills, collaborating to try different dance styles each week.

JR. SPORTS CLUB

 K5 - 8th

Mr. Caputis

In this club, elementary and middle school students will have team-like coaching and free time in multiple sports. Including; basketball, baseball, kickball, football, and soccer. Students are allowed to bring their own equipment if they would like but we will provide equipment as well. These sports help improve motor skills and dexterity needed for everyday life! 

LEGO CLUB

This unique, exciting, and fun-filled club will allow your students to express their creative minds, learn to work with others, and display their marvelous imaginations. Students will be challenged with several activities that allow them to develop their LEGO Master Building skills. Who is ready to LEGO?

ZANY ZUMBA CLUB

Zumba for kids is a chance to be active and jam out to their favorite music. We will break down the steps, add games, and art activities into our class. Zumba helps develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness through fun. It also helps incorporate development elements like leadership, respect, teamwork, confidence, self-esteem, creativity, and coordination. 

PICKLEBALL CLUB

6th - 12th

Pickleball is an internationally recognized sport that combines aspects of badminton, tennis, and ping-pong to form a doubles and singles game played on an outdoor court. Come join us for a healthy and fun activity every Tuesday outside on our courts!

ART FUSION STEM CLUB

2nd - 5th

Mrs. Santiago

Art Fusion STEM Club will combine science, technology, engineering and math with art.  Students will create unique projects that blend creativity and innovation.  The goal is to explore the intersection of STEM and art, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and a deeper understanding of both disciplines. 

HANDMADE WITH LOVE

POTTERY CLUB

6th - 12th

Mrs. Hernandez

Handmade with Love focuses on using your creative God- given mind and hands to create beautiful and meaningful pieces. In this club, you will get a feel for clay materials and sculpt them into jewelry holders, bowls, pots, earrings, etc. Learn the process of design from building, drying, storing, and glossing. Express your unique designs and bring them to life.

NARNIA CLUB

6th - 8th

Let's dive into this classic fantasy book series written by C. S. Lewis where the Pevensie children have adventurous and often dangerous journeys in Narnia. We will discuss the parallel ways that the storyline presents the gospel in a powerful way, watch movie clips, and do fun projects all centered on a love of Narnia!

Pep Squad is a place to grow in community with other classmates close in age while also learning how to bring teamwork to fruition. The girls will learn how to be a junior cheerleader by learning cheers, stunts, and more! They might even get the opportunity to perform their mini-routine at a football game.

If so, then the Middle School and High School Weight Training Club is the perfect place for you! Our weight training club is dedicated to helping students of all fitness levels achieve their goals. Whether you're a beginner looking to start your fitness journey or an experienced lifter seeking to refine your skills, our club provides a supportive and inclusive environment. CHOIR CLUB

6th - 12th

Mr. Link

Mr. Link is so excited to host the choir club, where students can grow in their singing abilities and share the joy of music with their friends! This club will explore many types and styles of music, including some of today's best worship music. Students will learn to sing in 3 and 4-part harmony, develop listening skills, and come to understand the basics of reading music. All experience levels are welcome to join and discover their newest passion in the choir club!

ELEMENTARY VOLLEYBALL CLUB

2nd - 5th

Ms. Odom

The students will be able to learn good sportsmanship and the basic skills of volleyball, such as how to bump, set, spike, and serve. This will familiarize them with the sport and develop their endurance. During each session, we will focus on a specific skill. Once they have the skills down, we will incorporate everything they learn and play some fun drills and games.

STEAM INNOVATION CLUB

2nd - 8th

Mrs. Lackey

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math Club offers STEM activities with creative elements. With hands-on experiments and crazy spontaneous challenges, this club will allow participants to explore, problem-solve, and be inspired in the STEAM curriculum areas. Each week we will tackle a different hands-on project that encourages "out of the box" thinking and teamwork.

Sports club is dedicated to promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, and teamwork among high school students. CREATIVE MOVEMENT CLUB

Pre-K - 5th

Ms. Paula Molina

FRIDAYS

Creative expression through free dance teaches students how to move their bodies to mimic what they see every day. This teaches students to think critically about the world around them and practice self-regulation for positive behavior management. The best part? There's no right or wrong way! The use of movement will teach them to bring their attention back to the body and have fun exploring.

VIDEO GAME CLUB

6th - 12th

Mr. Jude Smith

Middle and High school students will have a great time socializing and making friends in a safe, God centered encironment while playing video games! Some of the games that will be played are Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, Mario Party, Rocket League, etc.  It will mostly consist of Nintendo games that are all kid friendly, and sports games such as NBA and NFL games. 

MS/HS VOLLEYBALL CLUB

6th - 12th

Ms. Odom

If you know the sport like the back of your hand, or if you’re new at it, you are welcome to join. While elementary volleyball learns more of the basics, middle and high schoolers will be learning higher level skills and will be able to carefully develop their basic skills. We will be focusing on certain skills each session with the intention of putting everything together around the last couple weeks by playing games and doing fun drills with each other.
